Boris Eloi is wholeheartedly attached to pictorial expression. He has the naivety of an autodidact and the minutiae of a professional. He has been said to be a "kind of mute who discovers the word in the practice of his art. He is disconcerting and doesn't shy away from approaching the characters. He is drawn with honor from a series of imaginary portraits of La Sybille, the "disastrologer", Oedipus-King, Louise Labbé and even Picasso. Attentive, perfectionist, rich in bright colors and without vulgarity, his art is imbued with the secret life of the shadows and arcana of cosmology. Discreet and yet nourished by cabalistic text, he walks a little prophet, a little neophyte, inspired, between listening to death and the glimmer of doubt, he deserves attention and respect.
