And, lo and behold, under my fingers I felt, after God knows how long, the rough texture of Dubrovnik walls and portals, gnawed away by many rains, gusts of sirocco and tempests, the white rust of time; once again, the noisy summers when we gathered in his studio in the Ramparts, young and tanned, slim and carefree, intoxicated by the beauty and joy of living, came back to life in my mind. All of the above emanated from the canvases of Nikola Žigon as if from a magic box, and also turned into columns supporting the invisible arcades and vaults under which we loved. […]

Nikola Žigon was born on July 13th 1958 in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

He graduated in 1991, Belgrade University, Faculty of Art, painting department, class of Professor Moma Antonović.
He is a member of ULUS (Association of Fine Artists of Serbia).
En 1991, il a été diplômé de l’université de Belgrade, faculté des Beaux-Arts, section peinture, classe du professeur Moma Antonović. Il est membre de ULUS (Association d’artistes des Beaux-Arts de Serbie).
He is an exclusive member of Prom Gallery from Munchen (Germany), since 2002.
Depuis 2002, il est un des artistes permanents de la galerie prom à Munich (Allemagne).
